What is Vitamin B12?


Vitamin B12 helps maintain good health and has been shown to be beneficial in helping to; Reduce stress, tiredness and fatigue, reduces pins & needles sensation, improves memory and cardiovascular health and also allows you to maintain a good body weight. It can also assist the body in converting proteins, fats and carbohydrates into energy and is necessary for healthy skin, hair, nails and eyes.

How do the Injections differ from other forms of B12?

B12 Injections are better absorbed by the body since they go directly into the blood stream and work instantly after 24 hours. Alternatives to B12 injections are Tablet Vitamins, B12 Patch, Lozenges, Liquid drops and Nasal Spray, however these take a minimum of 3 months continuous use to see a difference.

How often should I get a Vitamin B12 Injection?

Vitamin B12 Injections are recommended once every 3 months. You can continue to get the injections until your Vitamin B12 levels are adequate. This can be determined by a simple blood test at your GP. 

Can I naturally increase my Vitamin B12 Levels?

Yes you can naturally increase your Vitamin B12 Levels by ensuring you're consuming high amounts of Red meat, fish, eggs, and dairy. 

Who is at risk of Low Vitamin B12?

Vegetarians, vegans and those who are either pregnant or nursing are at a high risk of having Low Vitamin B12 Levels and may require to have either Vitamin B12 injections or supplements as an alternative as they are not able to consume high amounts of rich food contents that contain natural Vitamin B12.
