New Clients
New to House of Riri? Every treatment starts with the right first appointment: a consultation to talk through your goals, check suitability, and plan what happens next.
Choose the option that matches what you're considering below. If you're not sure which one, Consultation on its own is a safe starting point, and we'll guide you from there.

Full details
A Consultation is the right first step if you'd like to talk everything through before deciding on anything. Your practitioner will discuss what you're looking to achieve, talk through which treatments may be suitable, and answer your questions, with no treatment carried out on the day. It's a considered, no-pressure way to understand what's realistic for you before committing to anything.
Who it may suit
- Anyone considering a treatment for the first time and wanting to understand their options before deciding
- Clients who'd rather take time to think things over than be treated the same day
What to expect
- 01A conversation about your goals, medical history and any previous treatments.
- 02An honest assessment of what may or may not be suitable for you.
- 03No treatment carried out: this appointment is for discussion and planning only.
Consultation
This appointment is a consultation only. If you decide to go ahead afterwards, treatment is booked as a separate appointment. If you'd rather be treated the same day when found suitable, Consultation + Same Day Treatment (listed alongside this one) covers that instead.
Results & longevity
This appointment doesn't itself produce a treatment result. It's the step that determines what treatment, if any, is right for you next.
Frequently asked questions
Will I be treated on the day?
No, this is a consultation only. If you're found suitable and want to go ahead, treatment is booked as a separate appointment. If you'd rather be treated the same day when suitable, choose Consultation + Same Day Treatment instead.
What if I'm not suitable for the treatment I'm interested in?
Your practitioner will explain why and talk through the alternatives. You're never pressured into a treatment that isn't right for you.

Full details
Consultation + Same Day Treatment combines your first appointment with the treatment itself, for clients who already know what they're interested in and would like to be treated straight away if suitable. Your practitioner still carries out a full consultation first (nothing is treated until suitability is confirmed), and if everything checks out, your chosen treatment is carried out in the same visit.
Who it may suit
- Clients who already know which treatment they want and would like to avoid a second appointment
- Anyone comfortable being treated on the day, subject to their practitioner confirming suitability first
What to expect
- 01A full consultation, exactly as thorough as a Consultation-only appointment.
- 02Your chosen treatment carried out in the same visit, only once your practitioner confirms you're suitable for it.
- 03If you're not found suitable on the day, your practitioner will explain why and talk through alternatives instead.
Consultation
A real consultation still happens first, every time: this option only adds treatment to the same visit, it never skips the assessment. If you'd rather take time to decide before committing to treatment, Consultation Only is the better starting point.
Results & longevity
As with any treatment, results and how you respond vary between individuals. Your practitioner will set realistic expectations for you specifically before going ahead.
Aftercare
- If you're treated on the day, your practitioner will give you aftercare guidance specific to what you've had done.
Frequently asked questions
Am I guaranteed to be treated on the day?
No, treatment only goes ahead if your practitioner confirms you're suitable for it during the consultation. This option makes same-day treatment possible, not automatic.
Which treatments can I book this for?
This is a general first-appointment option. Let your practitioner know what you're interested in when you arrive, or message us beforehand so we know what to prepare for.

Full details
This is the mandatory first appointment before starting laser hair removal, whether you're considering a course or paying as you go. Your practitioner will assess your skin and hair, talk through your goals and medical history, and carry out a real patch test (a small area of laser exposure) to confirm your skin responds well before any full treatment begins.
Concerns addressed
Areas treated
Who it may suit
- Anyone considering laser hair removal for the first time, before booking a course or individual sessions
- Existing laser clients trying a new treatment area for the first time
What to expect
- 01A consultation covering your skin, hair and medical history.
- 02A real patch test (a small area of laser exposure) to check how your skin responds.
- 03Guidance on when it's safe to book your first full session afterwards.
Consultation
This appointment is required before any laser hair removal treatment, regardless of which area or package you eventually choose. See the Laser category for the full course and pay-as-you-go options it leads to.
Results & longevity
A patch test confirms your own skin's response before full treatment begins; it isn't itself a hair-removal session, so no hair-reduction result is expected from it.
Aftercare
- Avoid sun exposure on the tested area in the days that follow.
- Follow any specific guidance your practitioner gives you for the patch site.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need this even if I've had laser hair removal elsewhere before?
Yes, this patch test is specific to how your skin responds to our own equipment, so it's required before your first session with us regardless of previous treatment elsewhere.
How soon after this can I book my first real session?
Your practitioner will confirm timing with you directly, based on how your skin responds to the patch test.
